Hello fellow Glockers, I was not overly impressed with the current slide finish on my newer Glocks. I know the "it's just a tool camp" opinions, but I prefer a little better than a claw hammer finish on my guns. I found the new finish has a very light outer coating that produces fine scratches very easy. In time with normal wear that outer coating will mostly disappear but not completely.
