What position should the firing pin be when reassembling the Glock?

While preforming a standard field strip, I went ahead and conducted an inspection and function test of the firing pin, firing pin safety, and firing pin channel. I applied light forward pressure on the firing pin lug to ensure that the firing pin did not move forward past the firing pin safety. I then pressed the firing pin safety to ensure that the firing pin was able to protrude from the breach face.
